Amy Smart

Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Her birthplace and childhood were in California in the USA. Her modeling career began in Italy. The first time she acted was 1996, when she appeared in "Her Costly Affair," the first TV film. From there to starring in a small role in the film "Starship Troopers," she was a struggle. Amy was unable to make the leap from modeling into acting because models are generally not considered to be good actors. They would often be assigned small, unimportant roles. Amy was never discouraged. She exceeded her roles from the 70's' show and the film Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy film "Just Friends" which starred Ryan Reynolds gave her her first leading role. It was a huge commercial success, and Amy was finally able to get the success she'd been trying for for more than a decade. She was still working on significant films like "Crank" which starred Jason Statham.
